(Rome 22 February 2019) From 27th February to 1st March 2019 UNIMED will be at stand 27 of the Eurasia Higher Education Summit EURIE2019, to share with the visitors of the Expo its activity and projects, its vision and mission for the academic cooperation.
In fact EURIE2019, which has a rich program, features conferences, debates, side events and even workshops. It will be an occasion for all the participants to connect with potential partners, stakeholders in the field of academic cooperation and higher education, learn about interesting funding opportunities, trends and initiatives. From one side there is the possibility for Higher Education Institutions or other entities like UNIMED, that are active in this field, to showcase not only their offer in programs but also their international activity, and from the other side there will be many dedicated spaces to discuss and present key themes of the academic cooperation in the Eurasian region.
UNIMED, apart from being among the exhibitors, is one of the partners of the event, which is co-organized by the Aydin University of Istanbul one of the Turkish associates of the Mediterranean Universities Union. On the 1st March, from 13:00 to 13:45, in the Emerald Room, the Director of UNIMED, Dr. Marcello Scalisi, will chair the panel on “Erasmus + Virtual Exchange – a groundbreaking approach for inclusion and internationalization“.
Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange is part of the Erasmus+ Programme, providing an accessible, ground-breaking way for young people to engage in intercultural learning. Working with Youth Organisations and Universities, the project is open to any young person aged 18-30 residing in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean. You will find more info on EVE project here.
The occasion of EURIE can represent an interesting moment for UNIMED, that could bring in its regional Euro-Mediterranean perspective, its experiences and as well as to be inspired by different ideas, experiences and best practices and look for news potential synergies.
