Exhibitions in Rome: “African Metropolis” and “Road to Justice” at the MAXXI

The exhibitions “AFRICAN METROPOLIS, AN IMMAGINARY CITY” and “ROAD TO JUSTICE” are currently underway in Rome at the MAXXI – National Museum of the XXI Century Arts. Both are part of a calendar of events designed to reflect on the contradictions and hopes of the African continent.

“AFRICAN METROPOLIS”, curated by Simon Njami and Elena Motisi and realized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DGMO Cooperation, brings together over 100 works by 34 artists who lead us to an imaginary city that mirror the richness of contemporary African identity .

“ROAD TO JUSTICE”, curated by Anne Palopoli, contains 11 works by 9 African artists that tell the complexity of the continent.
