(Rome, 25 January 2019) The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – FAO, launched the new call for expressions of interest for its Internship, Volunteer and Fellows Programmes.
Applications are open until the 1st March 2019 and the participation to one of these programmes might represent an enriching possibility for those who are interested in supporting causes like hunger eradication, acquiring technical expertise and knowledge, and working in programmes for agricultural, fisheries and forestry development.
FAO offers three types of programmes:
- Internships, for students, willing to supplement their academic knowledge with practical experience. The internships last from 3 to 6 months, with the possibility to be extended up to 11 months. // More information on the internship programme are available here and the applications can be submitted here until the 1st March 2019.
- Fellowships, is the programme open for PhD students, researchers and professors, desiring to fulfil their learning objectives while contributing to FAO’s objectives through their technical expertise. The fellowships last up to 11 months with the possibility of extension. // More information on the fellowship programme are available here and the applications can be made here until the 1st March 2019
- Volunteering, is a possibility open for individuals, wishing to support FAO’s work in achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals.
