As part of the training activities of the DIRE-MED project, the 1st training of trainers seminar took place from March 5 to 7 at the University of Setif 2 in Algeria. This training brought together about twenty participants (administrative staff from the offices of international relations and academic staff) around the management of international mobility opportunities for students.
Led by EUSA, this seminar was a platform to discuss the different types of existing international mobility, the role of international relations offices in the research and offer of these mobilities, various services offered to incoming and outgoing students and also allowed to present various tools for managing and monitoring these mobility opportunities. The exchanges were rich and made it possible to highlight the good practices existing within the partner universities and to think about ways of improvement, notably with a view to implementing the mobilities that will be carried out within the framework of the project.
Following this first seminar and following a logic of training in “cascade”, the Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian partners will conduct training visits to European partners before realizing training workshops at the level of their institution. The next training seminar will be organized at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and will focus on international mobility opportunities for academic staff.
Following the training, the partners of DIRE-MED also held their 2nd meeting of the partners to take stock of the progress of the project.
