EXCO 2019: The International Cooperation Expo. Job Creation and Innovation for Sustainable Development // Rome, 15 – 17 May 2019

From the 15th to the 17th of May 2019 will be held “EXCO 2019″ the first italian Expo of international cooperation at Fiera di Roma exposition  center.

The international cooperation sector has changed a lot in the last decades, with a series of paradigm shifts. It has been possible develop connections between aid sector and agents non-conventionally connected with develepment. Also the actors involved have changed, with a wider involvement of the private sector.

EXCO 2019 will be the place to meet these actors, a part from being a good networking and internationalization opportunity for Universities. This first edition will have a special focus on Africa. For this reason African subjects and decision maker Countries will participate in the event, both at continental and international level: the African Union, Regional Economic Commissions (RECs), ECOWAS, African Development Bank, as well as at national level: Ethiopia, Eritrea, Egypt, Liberia, Ghana, Republic of Guinea (Guinea Conacri), Togo, Nigeria, Senegal, Rwanda, Kenya, South Africa, Algeria, Morocco, Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon and Sudan.

One of the most important event is the conference of the 27 European Agencies for Cooperation organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO) that will take place on the third day of the event, the 17th of May.

The Conference will be an occasion to outline the ambitious goal of EXCO 2019 whose aims is to become a point of reference and meeting place for national and international companies, European countries Cooperation Agencies, local Institutions, Regions, Firms, NGOs, financial Institutions, and set a framework in line with the European Union and the United Nations development strategies.
