The Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures is an international organisation composed of forty-two Euro-Mediterranean countries. Its aim is to bring people together as a way to promote dialogue between cultures and respect for diversity.

In 2018, the Anna Lindh Foundation launched the third edition of its “Intercultural trends and Social change in the Euro-Mediterranean region” report. This report aims at analyzing Intercultural trends in the Euro-Mediterranean region, featuring the outcomes of a research conducted on 13000 people across 13 Euro-Mediterranean countries. It analyses the trends in the perceptions in the region and provides recommendations focusing on those areas which could bridge the gap in mutual perceptions, such as education and culture.

UNIMED and the Anna Lindh Foundation express their shared strategic intent to deepen their cooperation at Euro-Mediterranean level by strengthening research cooperation among members of their own networks, civil society organisations and universities. To do so, and after the report release, a series of events has been organized to share the data of the Report and encourage a debate among academic university and civil society organizations, such as in Rhodes (Greece), Tunis (Tunisia), Rabat (Morocco), Amman (Jordan).

Another important initiative in this sense is the first edition of the Open Online Course: Euro-Mediterranean Intercultural Trends, A learning journey through the Anna Lindh Report “Intercultural Trends and Social Change in the Euro-Mediterranean region which will start on the 12th of November and end on the 9th of December.

Date: 23rd October 2019 from 10:00 am – 12:00 am

Venue: Auditorium HS315, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Jounieh (Lebanon)
