Seminar on: Tourism, Environment, Territory in the Euro-region
Monfalcone, 22 January 2010

On January 2010 is held a conference on “Tourism, Environment, Territory in the Euro-region, in the context the Euro-Mediterranean dimension” at the Palazzetto Veneto of Monfalcone.

The event, organized by the Municipality of Monfalcone, with the support of Friulia Venezia Giulia Region, intends to analyse perspectives of cross-border cooperation evaluating best practices, in order to better direct the development of interregional cooperation.

Participants: Mayor of Monfalcone, Gianfranco Pizzolitto, Giuseppe Napoli, Central Vice-Director of International and European Relations, Oriano Otočan, Responsible for International Relations –Istria Region, Erik Svab, Director GAL Carso – LAS Kras, Massimo Luciani, President Aicree –Abruzzo Region, Massimiliano Rudella, Project Manager – Municipality of Monfalcone, Raffaele Parlangeli, Manager of Planning and Territorial Strategies – Municipality of Lecce, Marcello Scalisi, Executive Director of UNIMED (Mediterranean Universities Union), Stefano Gatti, ITPO - UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization), Vincenzo Pirone, Willy Brandt Stiftung, Livio Dorigo, President of Circolo di Cultura Istro Veneta - Istria.

After the conference, takes place a meeting with the aim of developing a series of projects proposals within the European cooperation, particularly in the framework of the future Call ENPI CBC – Strategic Projects.
