International Conference on Tourism (ICOT 2012), Archanes, Crete, May 23-26, 2012

The next edition of the International Conference on Tourism (ICOT 2012) will take place in Archanes, Crete, Greece from 23-26 May 2012 and the theme will be the following: ôSetting the Agenda for Special Interest Tourism: Past, Present and Futureö .

The conference seeks to inform future policy on the management of special interest tourism projects by stimulating discussion and the exchange of ideas between tourism professionals, academics, researchers, policy-makers, consultants, practitioners, government officials and postgraduate students from tourism-related fields.

The conference will focus on a broad range of topics related to tourism, among them: Tourism Development, Policy and Planning; Case studies and applied research on various types and forms of tourism, such as eco-tourism, cultural tourism, sport tourism; Information Technology in Tourism; Tourism Marketing and Management and many others.

The papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in special issues/volumes or sections of the following journals:
