UNIMED WEEK IN BRUSSELS – A history of success

UNIMED WEEK IN BRUSSELS held from March 15th to17th, 2016 has been a great success in terms of  participation and active collaboration.

More than 60 participants – Rectors and Rectors’ delegates, Professors, Researchers, Academicians – came from Belgium, Cyprus, Egypt, Finland, France, Italy, Lybia, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia and United Kingdom were hosted at the headquarters of DG Education and Culture, DG Research, European Parliament and Apulia Region for the three-days event.

The first day of work the Meeting with DG EAC — Directorate-General for Education and Culture – gave a proper start to the following two days in which participants, mostly coming from UNIMED associated Universities, had the chance to a direct exchange with the European Commissions – DG EAC, DG NEAR and DG RESEARCH – and with Representatives of European Parliament.

In the Agenda herewith attached, you will find all the personalities who attended the event and contributed to make it interesting and important at this very moment. Only few days after the UNIMED Week, Brussels has been theatre of a terroristic attack that we all strongly condemn and which reiterates the urgency of dialogue and cooperation among institutions, universities, associations and civil society in the Mediterranean.

All the speakers’ presentations will be available in the next few days.
