ARLEM Award 2020 – Young local entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean

After the successful first edition of the ARLEM award, it has been launched the ARLEM Award 2020 – Young local entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean.

Sustainable economic development is one of the three priorities of ARLEM. In accordance with this priority, the Assembly continues granting an award to a young entrepreneur from the Mediterranean partner countries and to her or his local/regional authority (LRA) who supported him. This initiative has been proposed by the ARLEM report on youth entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean.

To encourage LRA and young entrepreneurs to work together to ensure the dynamism of the region’s economy, the award is aiming at showcasing successful examples of young entrepreneurship (up to 35 years old) in the Mediterranean region (Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Turkey).

The registration for the applications will be open until 31 October 2019. The winner will be announced at the award ceremony at the 11th ARLEM Plenary session on 23 January 2020.

Those interested in participating can watch ARLEM Facebook Live session on Thursday, 3 October 2019 at 14:30 CET (here) to learn more about the ARLEM award and how to apply asking questions directly.
