CALL for Participation in NEXUS4Civics Community

With the aim of innovating the civic educational process and increasing the participation of students in their communities, the NEXUS project team has developed an interactive community to share knowledge, findings, and insights.

The NEXUS4Civics Community is a learning community for educators and students with a diverse background and interests in active citizenship and participation in the digital age!

On the platform, you will find a collection of resources created by the NEXUS team and others, shared by the international community related with the project.

There are a range of different topics: digital civic engagement, digital identity, digital footprint and online privacy, public policy, monitoring, accountability and transparency, advocacy, online campaigning, smart city and smart communities, community engagement and service learning in higher education, civic-tech tools to get engaged in the digital age, etc.

The platform is intended to be interactive, to share knowledge, and to find out what others are sharing.

So, if you are interested in what tech tools are available to participate as an active citizen, and would like to hear about inspiring experiences in digital civic engagement, then this is the place for you!

Join us here and spread the information around your community!

Once you enter the community, we would like you to:

  1. Explore the resources and add comments to any of them on how to specifically use them within your context (in your role as a teacher, a student, a professional involved in civic engagement, etc.). Also you can add other comments on other related resources/initiatives.
  2. Share other inspiring resources, tools or practices you know.
  3. Send us your feedback. We look forward to hearing from you.
