International Forum on Food and Nutrition, Brussels, June 6, 2018

A message from Barilla Foundation

There are questions about food, which seem to be about a distant future. But they are not. Tackling the complexity of such challenges now is the only way to ensure a future for the planet and people. How can we feed a growing global population with more sustainable agricultural practices? How can we recast the relationship between food systems and migration to guide policy priorities in the EU agenda? Why is food essential for the Sustainable Development Goals?

The International Forum on Food and Nutrition will answer these questions with concrete proposals to inspire policy makers, youth and civil society. The event is intended to identify effective, concrete solutions on urgent issues such as the relationship between hunger and obesity, the proper use of natural resources, the reduction of food waste, the promotion of sustainable diets, the environmental impact of agriculture and the effects of climate change.

The forum will be held in Brussels, on June 6, 2018, from 9.00 to 17.30 CET.

Location: The Square – Brussels Meeting Centre, rue Mont des Arts, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
