The University of Siena will host the SAGESSE project partners for the training of trainers for university staff on assurance quality mechanisms and strategic planning. The training will be held during the week from December 3rd to December 7th 2018.
The project envisages a one-week basic training whose goal is the strengthening of Tunisian universities internal staff’s skills on university strategic planning and quality assurance mechanisms. The training will be mainly realised by means of frontal teaching along with comparative analysis of case studies. The training is addressed in particular to higher education institutions’ leaders (rectors, vice-rectors and directors) and academic staff dealing with assurance quality and strategic planning, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the IEAQA. Experts and trainers from the University of Siena will deliver the training in collaboration with the University of Sousse, the IEAQA, and with Sapienza University of Rome, Barcelona University, Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, the CESIE-Centro Studi e iniziative europeo.
The basic training will be followed by 3 workshops organised at local level where people trained during the previous activities will become trainers and will transfer their knowledge, experience and savoir-faire to other directors and administrative staff members.

Moreover in the framework of this training week, the University of Siena will host also a public session on Wednesday, December 5th on «University governance, academic training, research and mobility: the University of Siena presents itself to Tunisian universities».
This session is aimed at consolidating cooperation with Tunisian universities, strongly represented in the UNIMED network, with the University of Siena. The meeting will allow participants to know more about the activities that UNIMED carries out in collaboration with Tunisia and to know the academic offer of the University of Siena, with particular regard to cooperation with Tunisia. Furthermore the event seeks to offer an opportunity for dialogue and debate in view of future collaborations between the institutions of the two countries.
The event will take place on Wednesday 5th December 2018 in the Aula Magna Storica of the Rectorate of the University of Siena from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
