On September 24, 2020 the members of the SubNetwork on Employability gathered online in order to discuss the state of the art of the SubNetwork and the future steps for the next year. Indeed, the SubNetwork aims to be a useful tool for advocating the European Institutions on the main topic of the SubNetwork which is strengthening economic and social cohesion by promoting cross-border, transnational and inter-regional cooperation and sustainable local development. On this occasion, some key actions were relaunched, such as the Students Start-cup Competition, the setting up of a network of Mediterranean career centers thanks to a needs assessment of the latter and reinforcement of the University Incubators.Read more

The first webinar, the concept of Academic Entrepreneurship and the neologism “Acadepreneurship”, was held on 20th of May 2020.
The second webinar, Vocational Learning at a distance: Supporting Vocational Teachers under the Lock Down, organised by the ETF was held on 26th of May 2020.Read more
In the framework of the cooperation with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), UNIMED is participating in an interesting initiative on Reinforcing the Innovation-Employability Nexus in the Mediterranean (UfM RI-EN) launched by the Union for the Mediterranean, together with the German Development Cooperation.
In particular, two webinars on May 5th “How to promote employability and digitalisation” and May 19th “How to promote entrepreneurship and start-up creation in Research and Innovation“-focused on the reinforcing careers of graduates and young researchers- are organised.Read more
(Rome. 2 May 2019) On the occasion of the 9th International Arab Conference on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (IACQA 2019), which took place at the Lebanese International University (LIU) from 8 to 11 April 2019, the UNIMED SubNetwork for Employability organised a workshop for deans, vice deans and directors on the theme of “Learning for Employability”.
The object of this workshop was to determine the levers of employability and to stimulate the responsibility of the university with regard to this topic.Read more
