eMEDia: Third edition of the Training of Trainers…this time in Barcelona!

In the framework of eMEDia, A Bottom-up Approach for the Design and Pilot of a Joint Masters Course in Cross-Media Journalism, the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Library and Information Science coordinated by Lydia Sanchez (project coordinator for eMEDia project at UB) and Jorge Franganillo, hosted the third and last session of the Training of Trainers.
26 Tunisian university teachers (from IPSI La Manouba, University of Sousse and University of Sfax) and professionals from the Syndicate of the Tunisian Journalists of Sfax participated on April 18-22, 2016 in the third session of training on cross-media journalism focusing on “Elaborations and further applications: audiovisual dimensions of convergence journalism”.
Professors from Barcelona University through focus groups and learning workshop trained the participants on the following topics:
1. Data journalism
2. Transmedia storytelling
3. Making TV reports and documentaries
4. International information sources for journalism Course
5. Using and managing video material in news programs
6. Exploring video journalism
On April 18 in the afternoon, an Opening Session & Welcome has been organized by UB partner in collaboration with UNIMED (to download the agenda please go here).
International speakers together with the Tunisian professors regularly teaching in their Master’s Course at the University of Sfax, Sousse and IPSI shared with the audience their experiences and best practices on the eMEDia Master implementation, the problems and obstacles they face and the future opportunities for their students.
