(Rome, 25 March 2019) Under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ Project PAgES Post-Crisis Journalism in Post-Crisis Libya, IULM University will organise a round table focused on the issues of Journalism, Free Speech and Higher Education in Journalism in Libya.
With 18 journalists killed since the Revolution, dozens of them which fled the country for security reasons, and some media outlets operating from abroad, the Libyan case shows that much must be done urgently, in order to ensure the improvement of public debate. Libya currently ranks 162, out of 180 countries, in the Free Press Index.
The round table will gather professionals and experts, from Libya, Spain, Portugal and Italy in order to address the most relevant questions raised by the Libyan transition.
The round table will take place on March 26, 2019 at 16.30 at IULM University – Via Carlo Bo 1, Milano (Italy).
