Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in Barcelona will host the seminar “Educational Pathways: How to Strengthen Bridges and Links between Higher Education and Vocational Training to Meet the Needs of the Socio-Economic World?” on May 8th jointly organized by UNIMED-Mediterranean Universities Union, in partnership with the Secretariat General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the European Training Foundation (ETF), within the Erasmus Plus projet RESUME – RESeaU Méditerranéen pour l’Employabilité.
Objectives of the Seminar:
This seminar which is a place for sharing experiences and dialogue, seeks to cross the points of view of decision-makers, university officials, socio-economic actors, experts and, more broadly, stakeholders interested as practitioners in the reflection on the articulation of higher education and vocational training paths. It will make it possible to draw up the state of the actions already undertaken in this direction in the Euro-Mediterranean region, to identify their impact within the universities and to determine concrete follow-up actions to reinforce the regional cooperation in this field.
Three round tables are organised around the following topics:
- Articulation of Public Policies in Higher Education and Vocational Training: Good Practices, Difficulties and Prospects
- How to improve the dialogue between universities and vocational training centres and companies: exchange of experiences and good practices
- The benefits of a multi-stakeholder regional dialogue to respond to the challenge of youth employability, a key factor for regional stability and integration in the Mediterranean
