The World Water Day has been held on March 22, every year since 1993, and it celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2 billion people living without access to safe water.
The theme of World Water Day in 2023 is ACCELERATING CHANGE to solve the water and sanitation crisis. Right now, we are seriously off-track to meet Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030. And because water affects us all, we need everyone to act and make a difference by changing the way we use, consume, and manage water in your lives.
This year, the celebration of the World Water Day coincides with the start of the UN 2023 Water Conference (March 22-24, New York). The conference is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to unite the world around solving the water and sanitation crisis.
On this occasion, the UNIMED SubNetwork on Food and Water announces its sixth thematic webinar “Towards water and sanitation for all by 2030”
