FAO elearning Academy: Methodologies and good practices for designing and delivering e-learning solutions

On July 15th from 2.30pm to 3.30 pm FAO elearning Academy will launch its new elearning guide.

The FAO elearning Academy supports Member Countries, through capacity development interventions and elearning courses. These courses are offered free of charge, as a global public good and were created to transfer know-how, skills and competencies using diverse methodologies such as self-paced elearning courses, blended learning programmes, massive open online courses (MOOCs), technical webinars, online tutored courses, mobile learning, international hackathons on the SDGs, global 24-hour marathons for sustainability, university master programmes and postgraduate degrees, as well as training workshops.

The event will be delivered by Ms Beth Bechdol (Deputy Director-General and Officer-in-Charge Programme Support and Technical Cooperation Department, FAO), Ms Marcela Villarreal (Director of the Partnerships and UN Collaboration Division, FAO), Mr Andrew Nadeau (Head of Responsible Agricultural Investments, Learning, and Scientific Information Unit, FAO), Ms Beatrice Ghirardini (Capacity Development Officer, FAO), Mr Tom Wambeke (International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization), Ms Karina Crespo (Coordinator, FAO Public Policy Training Center for Latin America and the Caribbean) and Ms Cristina Petracchi (Leader of the FAO elearning Academy).
