The Erasmus+ CBHE RAQMYAT Digital strategies for doctoral training in Tunisia has been officially launched on March 3-5 in Tunis, hosted by La Manouba University. This project, coordinated by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, brings together 7 Tunisian universities, La Manouba, Universities of Tunis and Tunis El Manar, the Virtual University of Tunis, Universities of Sfax, Sousse and Kairouan as well as the universities of Vienna and Granada, the Foundation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme and UNIMED.
The challenge of the RAQMYAT project is to favour the emergence of a new SSH doctoral training model based on the existing legal framework in Tunisia. The methodological approach will be focused on the integration of digital technology in Tunisian doctoral students’ research trainings and the development of cross-disciplinary skills, necessary to their occupational integration. The day before the kick-off-meeting was dedicated to a scientific forum on Digital humanities in the Euro-Mediterranean region, to discuss how to offer Tunisian PhD candidates in social sciences and humanities trainings that meet the expectations of the 21st century. UNIMED, together with the University of Tunis will lead the workpackage on dissemination. During this 2 days, partners discussed the first steps of project implementation, especially the identification of resources and good digital practices in doctoral training in human and social sciences to serve as preparatory work for the following activities.
