In a workshop promoted by the Sustainable Tourism Community of the InterregMed Programme, and organised by UNIMED, representatives of successful EU-funded projects from both shores of the Mediterranean will meet to exchange their experiences. On May 19, 2021 it will be held the Workshop Re-connecting Tourism with the biosphere: a Mediterranean Perspective.
The Mediterranean region is facing common challenges and an enhanced dialogue on best practices designed and tested on both shores could be beneficial for promoting a comprehensive approach and developing common solutions.
In a workshop promoted by the Sustainable Tourism Community representatives of successful EU-funded projects from both shores of the Mediterranean will meet to exchange their experiences.
Particular attention will be given to the Biosphere reserves as learning places and strategic actors of sustainable development.
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the UNESCO’s Man & Biosphere Programme and this webinar, focused on tourism, will stress the importance of the sustainable connection between people and nature, which is the vision of the MAB Programme.
The speakers come from ENI CBC MED and Erasmus+ cooperation projects, and of course from the Sustainable Tourism InterregMed community.
The meeting will be in English with the interpreting in French.
