Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo) is looking for strong and motivated PhD candidates from the members of the UNIMED network, also in the perspective of a possible cotutelle.
This year, and for the next two years as well, PoliTo has received significant additional funding for PhD positions within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) financially supported by the EU: 100 additional scholarships will be in collaboration with (and co-funded by) companies, where the candidates will spend at least 6 months, while another additional 44 scholarships will be totally funded by the Ministry. All candidates will spend at least 6 months abroad.
The proposed research topics of the PhD projects will be aligned with the main goals of the PNRR, including green revolution and ecological transition, renewable energy, digital transition, circular economy, sustainable mobility, etc.
The monthly PhD scholarship is approx. 1390 euro for three years. This amount is increased of 50% for each day spent abroad for research activities. Further, during the three years, a PhD student is additionally supported up to approx. 5000 euro for travelling, accommodation, conference fees etc.
The call is expected to be launched on September 1st, 2022, and the deadline for application will be September 9th, 2022. The admission process will end within September 30th 2022 and the PhDs will start within December 31st 2022.
