The DIRE-MED project “Intercultural Dialogue, Networks and Mobility in the Mediterranean” will host its final event on October 5th to 14th, 2020, virtually, everywhere in the Mediterranean area! Separated by Covid but united by our Mediterranean culture, dialogue will go on online.
In the past three years, six partners from three European countries (Italy, France, Spain) and six partners from three Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia) worked to contribute to the modernization, accessibility and internationalization of higher education in the Maghreb countries, strengthening the management capacities, innovation and internationalization of universities.
For concluding DIRE-MED project life story, the partners will organize from the 5th to 14th of October an “intercultural dialogue week”. The aim of this two-weeks event is to promote dialogue and academic opening, and most importantly prove that cooperation is stronger than the Covid 19 pandemic. Several events will be organized online such as a Mediterranean music lesson, a documentary projection, debates on intercultural trends… It will also be the occasion for partners’ students to present their own initiatives and projects related to the cultural heritage, mobility and employability in the Mediterranean region.
This two-weeks event will end with the DIRE-MED Final Conference. Beyond a discussion of the project results, the conference will be the occasion to listen to students’ mobility experience and to dialogue with Southern-Mediterranean ministerial representatives and European actors on the future of cooperation and mobility in the Euro-Med region.
