The 6th Thematic Conference of the RESUME project was hosted at the annual event organised by AFEM (Association of Women  Entrepreneurs in Morocco) under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King Mohamed VI on the topic of Women entrepreneurship (South Economic Women Initiative, which is at its third edition this year) under the sign of Innovation and Digital.

All of the 16 RESUME partners from Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Italy, France and Spain gathered in Marrakech and shared their practices on the topic.

The objective of this edition is to highlight the changes and disruptions that women entrepreneurs experience every day and that generate unprecedented potential in terms of innovation and digital transformation. It is now a duty for companies to anticipate and position themselves in the markets of tomorrow.

The morning of March 2nd was dedicated to the institutional framework, the business environment, partners, incentive mechanisms, benchmarks able to constitute a photograph of the evolution of parity in the field of innovation. Whereas the afternoon partners and participants asked themselves questions about the right place of women in the more technical universes, less borrowed by women, where spots were put on courses to share a reflection, an experience, a know-how and
especially inspire to act.

In this framework,  the RESUME project and its 6th Thematic Conference on Women Entrepreneurship was included, where partners from Italy, Spain, France, Morocco, Lebanon and Tunisia shared their good practices on the above-mentioned subject of the SEWI Conference.

RESUME is a EU funded project whose objective is to develop and improve university-industry cooperation through capacity building and training of trainers targeting the university staff in Morocco, Lebanon and Tunisia aimed at inspiring an entrepreneurial mind-set among students and at enhancing their employment opportunities. Within this project, partners have to share their good practices and lessons learned on several topics around the key topic of employability. Therefore, a cycle of 7 thematic conferences are organised along the life of the project. The Marrakesh conference is the 6th one of this cycle.
