On October 2, 2024, the University of Science and Technology – Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO-MB), in collaboration with the University of Algiers 1, organized in Algiers the final conference of the Erasmus+ CBHE DIGITAQ project. This event was enhanced by the presence of Mr. Rachid Hamdi, Director of Interuniversity Cooperation and Exchanges at MESRS, and offered a great opportunity to celebrate the major advances made in the digitalization of quality assurance processes in Algerian higher education.
Among the remarkable achievements, the creation of the DIGITAQ platform has established itself as an essential digital tool for quality management and assessment in Algerian higher education institutions. In addition, the project strengthened the skills of university stakeholders through specialized training, preparing them to meet the challenges of digital transformation with confidence.
Another highlight was the proposal of the creation of a future Center of Excellence in Quality (CEQ), which will aim to guarantee the sustainability of initiatives and promote good practices in quality assurance for the whole Algerian system.
The event also saw the participation of several personalities, including university rectors and Mr. Mohamed Boudour, Director of the National Erasmus+ Algeria Office. The signing of the DIGITAQ sustainability plan, in the presence of Mr. Hamdi, highlighted the importance of digital initiatives for Algerian higher education, while highlighting the need to join forces to ensure their sustainability.
