Protecting the biodiversity of the Mediterranean is a very strategic and ambitious objective that we must tackle collectively. Last 15 and 16 March in Marseille (France), we launched our new Mediterranean “Biodiversity Protection Community” animated by PANACeA, an Interreg Med-funded project that coordinates the various efforts of nine Mediterranean projects on protected areas led by a unique partnership of regional institutions, NGOs, local authorities and universities.
The PANACeA community for biodiversity protection tackles different aspects of coastal and marine management, biodiversity monitoring, sustainable use of natural resources, management of protected areas, global change, governance and cooperation, and scientific and innovative methodologies. We will do our best to share knowledge and best practices, to enhance existing ties among key players and to create new partnerships to promote and enforce better policies.
Here you will find further information about the Community
