The Middle East is an area of growing instability with transnational and multi-dimensional security risks and challenges that affects international security. On 24th May 2022, as part of NATO’s approach to the Women, Peace and Security agenda, women leaders and academics from the Middle East will discuss their ideas with NATO policy makers on conflict resolution in the region.

The workshop will bring together SMEs and practitioners from Middle East to discuss the nexus between women and security in the region, and to assess both the risks and the opportunities stemming from their circumstances and activities. Through the exchange of knowledge and ideas, this workshop seeks to identify opportunities for further cooperation and aims at identifying areas for cooperation in order to advance stability.

The event will take place at the Joint Force Command in Naples, Italy, and also streamed online.
