CliVEx Project: Climate Virtual ExChange: Enhancing climate awareness in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean Area, is offering two exciting opportunities for 2,500 young people to enhance their knowledge, skills, and engagement in addressing climate change. The “Climate Justice: From Inequality to Inclusion” Virtual Exchange and the “Online Facilitation Training” provide immersive learning experiences that foster intercultural dialogue, promote constructive engagement, and empower participants to take action on climate issues.

• The “Climate Justice: From Inequality to Inclusion” Virtual Exchange – an interactive, international, online learning experience about one of humanity’s biggest challenges: Finding just and inclusive ways to respond to the climate crisis. Through Virtual Exchange, students from diverse national and cultural backgrounds learn with – and from – each other, by engaging in dialogue, skill-building activities, and an activating group project.
• The “Online Facilitation Training” is designed both for professionals and those new to dialogue facilitation, gaining and sharpening key skills to facilitate and promote constructive, respectful, and authentic engagement in online and offline contexts.

Registrations are now open until January 5th, 2024 for the Introduction course to Online Dialogue Facilitation Training running for 5 weeks, from Jan 8 to Feb 11, 2024. 

The course is asynchronous in English and includes 2 optional live group sessions. 

To be eligible, participants must be aged 18-30 and residing in one of the following countries Algeria, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Syria, and Tunisia.

Climate Virtual ExChange project: Enhancing climate awareness in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean Area (CliVEx) started in July 2023 under the lead of UNIMED and with the participation of the Sharing Perspectives Foundation, Solyia (Tunisia), the University of Padua (Italy), the Lebanese International University (Lebanon) and the An-Najah University (Palestine). CliVEx aims to enhance intercultural dialogue between students from Europe and the Southern Mediterranean area on climate change.

The 3-year project involves 16 Higher Education Institutions from 15 countries located in Europe and the South Mediterranean area: Algeria, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Syria, and Tunisia.
