START CUP COMPETITION: the 5° Edition’s winner is the team from Misurata University

It is a Libyan team the winner of the 5° Edition of the Start Cup Competition held in Istanbul on October 22nd, 2024 hosted by the Istanbul Aydin University.

The Start up SANAA has reached the highest score of the jury. SANAA aims to offer a solution to women unemployment in Libya and to valorise the women artisanat. It is an e-commerce application specified to sell handmade products that marketing them according to customers preferences.

The Start Cup Competition is a contest of entrepreneurial ideas developed by university students enrolled in one of the universities around the Mediterranean. This competition aims to encourage participating teams from universities on both shores of the Mediterranean to present innovative ideas in the field of entrepreneurship.

This year the focus was on innovative project idea that solves a social problem.

24 teams from 13 countries participated in the competition, presenting amazing ideas and projects.

In fact, the jury awarded further teams with honorable mentions, and a Palestinian team for the “Best Social Impacts”.
