UNIMED associated members rise to 179 universities

UNIMED is glad to announce that the network has grown in number of associated members.
Seven new universities from the Euro-Mediterranean region have formally completed their association process bringing the network to count on 179 members from 25 countries. UNIMED welcomes the following universities:

● University of Ghardaia, Algeria
● University of Raparin, Iraq
● University of Trieste, Italy
● Fezzan University, Libya
● Wadi Alshatti University, Libya
● Çağ University, Turkey
● Üsküdar University, Turkey

UNIMED, the Mediterranean Universities Union, founded in October 1991 by Prof. Franco Rizzi, is a network of Higher Education and Research Institutions, active in promoting academic cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region and in Sub-Saharan Africa, in Middle East and in Western Balkans. Through the many initiatives carried out over almost three decades, UNIMED has promoted the collaboration between universities of the Mediterranean, becoming a point of reference for universities’ international cooperation.
