The 7th Edition of Erasmus Days 2023, a six-day celebration of the Erasmus+ programme and European mobility, took place from October 9th to October 14th, 2023. This year’s theme, “6 days to make Europe shine,” invited schools, companies, associations, and public bodies to showcase the richness of European mobility and the achievements of the Erasmus+ programme.
In this context, the DCBox Project participated in two significant events, one in Italy and the other in Serbia. The first event occurred on the 9th of October in Nis, where the DCBox project was introduced. The event received a positive response, and the Nis Partners revealed the project’s remarkable potential to an engaged audience. The second event was organized by Università Politecnica delle Marche-UNIVPM, the coordinator of the DCBox project. A dedicated workshop was held on October 13th, 2023, at the Ancona Faculty of Engineering.
The event primarily focused on showcasing the new Virtual Reality Module within DCbox. Students gathered in their respective groups to present their creations, which they had developed as part of the Architectural Drawing course led by Professor Ramona Quattrini. These creations took the form of virtual reality experiences, creatively narrating the heritage of the city of Ancona in Italy.
The highlight of the workshop was the introduction of the VR Module within DCBox, marking a new chapter in information accessibility. This initiative represented an innovative approach to heritage storytelling, employing virtual reality as a medium.
