Refugees and Migrants

In a context of increased xenophobia, cultural tensions, and polarised narratives on refugees, migrants and migration, most Higher Education Institutions across the Mediterranean are active in supporting refugees and migrants, welcoming them as students and staff on their campuses, and into their surrounding societies.
However, much remains to be done for expanding access for refugees to education. UNIMED encourages its members and partners to take a step with refugees, exploring sustainable and inclusive approaches, as well as new forms of partnerships to boost refugees and migrants engagement and participation into their hosting communities.
