EU4Skills

The EU4Skills project is a project co-funded by the European Union and the French government, coordinated by Expertise France with UNIMED as implementing partner. The project seeks to address the critical challenges of unemployment in Libya, recognizing the need for comprehensive solutions for employability.

The project is composed of two phases:

  • Comprehensive Employability and Skills Development diagnosis: the scope is to identify and examine the current challenges faced by governmental institutions, to map the current employability landscape, and lay the groundwork for sustainable improvement across these critical areas;
  • Capacity Building Action: the project plans a robust capacity building and training program for Libyan stakeholders to address the identified challenges and capitalize on synergies and opportunities.

In addressing the complex landscape of employability in Libya, this consultancy aims to conduct a comprehensive diagnosis, considering the interconnected nature of sectors, and integrating a gender-responsive approach, as well as aspects of coordination and governance. UNIMED will conduct a comprehensive employability needs analysis to draft a state of the art of the Libyan system about the main project focus areas:

  • Employability Situation in Libya
  • Digital Skills
  • Green and Blue Economy

Data collection and analysis will respond to the need of preparing and delivering a capacity building action in Libya.
