The UNIMED General Assembly represents an important yearly event where rectors, presidents and representatives of UNIMED associated universities meet to exchange views and to determine policy for UNIMED, setting the stage for a full and rich year of initiatives, activities and conferences that shape the academic calendar around the Mediterranean. The Assembly is an opportunity not only for celebration and balance but for reflection to consolidate the work done and discuss the founding values of UNIMED. At the same time, it is an opportunity to meet and to host representatives of international organisations, government officials, students, influential contributors to the cultural and political spheres and representatives of NGOs.
Every year UNIMED announces a Call for Application where all the members are welcome to submit their application for hosting the UNIMED General Assembly for the following year. The organization is on a rotational basis in order for the event to be hosted in all the countries and member institutions of the network.
The UNIMED General Assembly 2024 will be held on October 23rd and 24th, 2024 in Istanbul, hosted by the Istanbul Aydin University. More information will be available later on.
